Getting tired.
I have yet to take my 28 week photo even though I am now almost 29 weeks along. I didn't have a reason to get ready last Sunday as it was stake conference and we didn't go. Mostly because it was being held in the conference center, which would have been cool, but not with our crazy 3 1/2 year old who sometimes can't manage sitting through sacrament. Anyways, this Sunday it's church as usual so I will be getting ready and taking a picture.
Something I am pretty happy about is the fact that I have avoided new stretch marks.....so far. Well, almost. I just barely noticed a couple small new red marks. BUT when I was pregnant with Rowan I was getting them at 24 weeks, so the fact that I have avoided them one month longer is nice. We'll see what happens in the next two months. I hope they at least remain small and not too noticeable.
I am happy to be in the third trimester. Happy that this pregnancy is nearing an end, but of course not enjoying the crappy sleep, lack of energy, and the inability to do simple things like bend over without discomfort. The fun things about getting further along: the baby is getting stronger and bigger which means daddy can now feel him and see the belly move. I have an appointment at the beginning of June and then I will start seeing my doctor every two weeks. Seems crazy we are already at that point. While 2 months sometimes still sounds like a far ways off, I know it's not. This baby is going to be here before we know it! Course that also means I am feeling the stress and pressure to get lots and lots done around the house. Of course the first priority is the nursery, which I hope to make a lot of progress on while Jon and Rowan are gone the first week in June.
We are still undecided on a name. We have a few we like, but none that we have both agreed 100%. I am sure this babies name will be decided in the hospital after he's born. Rowan had his name before he was even conceived!
I am pretty nervous about having a newborn and a busy 4 year old. I am picturing lots of crying- on my part! Non the less I am excited to have another kid and excited for Rowan to have a sibling. Let's just hope I can get through the first two months!

Ultrasound at 22.5 weeks
Here he is! He already looks adorable to me- but I know, I am his mom!
He was comfy in there and chilling with his arms and hands above his head.
I am glad someone is comfortable- I'm sure not most nights!
I had my targeted ultrasound Wednesday. Unfortunately Jon couldn't come with me because he was dealing with car stuff- luckily, the car is now fixed, and now we just have to hope we get reimbursed when the whole thing is said and done. Aside from Jon not being able to come, it was great. I got to see lots of the baby, and we got our first 3D shots of the little guy. AWESOME. We didn't get these with Rowan so it was super exciting to get them this time around. The baby is looking good and appears to be healthy. And it sounds like I am due a little bit sooner than originally thought. The ultrasound tech said somewhere between the 8th and 10th of August, instead of the 12th. Of course if this baby is late like his brother, he'll show up on the 12th!

Ultrasound at 19.5 weeks.
Sadly, this is the BEST picture we got of the baby Friday. The back of his head and back.
Friday was my 20 week appointment, and it turned out to be a bit of a letdown. I was looking forward to seeing the baby and confirming that we're really having a boy. Not that I am in total denial about that, but I do realize that finding out the gender at 15 weeks is on the early side and that babies genitalia can still be developing at that point. I know it's more common to mistake a girl for a boy than vice versa. In the end though we didn't get to see much of the baby as he was turned away from us, and we didn't get any shot of his southern region due to his positioning! I was so bummed! Needless to say, I left the doctor's office very frustrated. I'll get another ultrasound in three weeks for my targeted ultrasound, so I hope we get to see plenty of the baby then- maybe even some 3D shots! I may have to postpone my trip to Boise until after that ultrasound since I want 100% confirmation on the sex before sewing up a storm with my mom. I was going to go home over Rowan's spring break to work on nursery projects, but due to the my uncooperative son, that may have to wait. Jon says, "Heather, it's a BOY!" And I say, "Yes, that is probably true, but I just need it verified one more time!"
On a happier note, Saturday night I witnessed my belly move after the baby kicked! That is always fun- especially for the dad- unfortunately, Jon missed it. It happened twice Saturday night, so now I am obsessed with watching my belly.

16 weeks picture & journaling.
I am about a month late in posting this. I wasn't fond of the picture, or was it my outfit? I had plans to retake the photo, but never got around to it, and now I am almost 20 weeks, so this one will have to suffice for the 4th month documentation. Less than a week and I'll be taking my 20 week photo- crazy!
